Stephen Bishop is the founder of Stephen Bishop & Associates, a successful wealth management team with Raymond James Ltd., based primarily in Nova Scotia.
Stephen’s career in the investment industry spans three decades, beginning in 1986 when he joined an independent investment firm in their Advisor Training Program. The firm was later purchased by one of Canada’s ‘big five’ banks. For the next 20 years, Stephen provided investment advice and other wealth management services to individual and institutional clients. He also took on the role of Branch Manager — training and supervising a number of investment advisors.
By 2006, Stephen recognized that he could best serve his clients within the culture of an independent investment firm, so he and his team joined Raymond James Ltd., one of the country’s fastest-growing independent firms. Raymond James Ltd. is founded on the principle of always putting the needs of clients first, which fits perfectly with the philosophy of Stephen and his team.
Capitalizing on his many years of experience and industry knowledge, Stephen Bishop and his group offer clients a complete range of wealth management solutions including:

To better serve his clients with US interests, Stephen successfully passed FINRA licensing examinations in 2015 and now holds Series 7 and Series 66 US Securities licenses. This gives him the ability to work with US citizens residing in Nova Scotia who hold US based retirement accounts as well as US and Canadian citizens residing in the USA.
Stephen is a frequent attendee at many industry conferences, seminars and courses.
Always a believer in ‘giving back’, Stephen has generously donated his time and expertise at both an industry and community level. He served a number of years as an Industry Representative and Member on the Nova Scotia District Council of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), and was an appointed Member of the IIROC District Council's Disciplinary Hearing Panel.
Stephen has volunteered as a Board Member to many non-profit groups and foundations. He is a Past President of the Yarmouth Rotary Club and a Rotary International, Paul Harris Fellow.
